The story behind the piece

Before America was a nation, it was an act of defiance.
Liberty Over Tyranny captures the revolutionary idea behind the 2026 Liberty Dime against the struggle that gave that idea meaning.
Colonial soldiers stand above a landscape scarred by war, gathering beneath a weathered American flag as smoke rises across the distant countryside. Above them, the obverse and reverse of the Liberty Dime emerge from a break in the storm—Liberty paired with an eagle in combat, its talons gripping broken arrows.
There is deliberately no peaceful America here.
The composition connects the dime's imagery to the generation that fought before the nation's future was assured. Darkness surrounds the battlefield while light breaks through behind the coins, transforming Liberty from a simple inscription into the central idea of the work.
The result is part numismatic portrait, part historical panorama: a tribute to the uncomfortable truth that American liberty was not inherited by its founding generation. It had to be won.
Presented as a premium semi-gloss art print with a minimalist magnetic pine hanger, the format gives the piece the presence of a historical banner while allowing the artwork to be changed without permanently mounting or damaging the print.
